Video Premiere: Repo Man & John Wicks

Way back in 2016 or thereabouts, John Wicks (The Records) and I co-wrote a song entitled “Repo Man”. Looking back today, I am extremely grateful to John for encouraging me to write it with him. Of all the songs I’ve had a hand in, this is easily the one I think about the most.

At the time we wrote it, he was quite ill. In hindsight, John probably suspected that he didn’t have much time left but never let on. We had a great time writing it. After his passing, it was gratifying to see that it would become one of Little Steven’s Coolest Songs in the World on SiriusXM Radio. John would have really liked that. A lot. The track was sung and produced by a mutual friend – the one and only Jamie Hoover.

That said, this feels like a good time to release the brand spankin’ new animated video for “Repo Man”. After all, today is John’s birthday. Happy Birthday, Mr. Wicked.
