Kurt Baker & Bullet Proof Lovers

The prolific Mr. (Kurt) Baker is back again, this time as the lead vocalist of Bullet Proof Lovers. Their self titled EP has been available on vinyl only until Rum Bar Records released it on CD and digital earlier this month.

Bullet Proof Lovers have a larger than life, thundering sound with big hooks and monster choruses. They’ll make you want to shout along with them, similar to The Fleshtones when they’re at the top of their game. Tracks like “She’s Gonna Leave” or “Nothing I Can’t Do” wouldn’t sound out of place on Powerstance. But the essence of Bullet Proof Lovers can be summed up with the track, “Never Too Loud”, another anthemic rocker.

Originally recorded in 2014, the lineup consisted of the aforementioned Baker on vocals, Luiyi Costa and Juan Irazu on guitar, Gonzalo Ibáñez on bass and Joseba Arza on drums.
