Martin Belmont and The Ramblin’ All Star Review

A little over a month ago, I visited London with the intention of seeing and hearing The Tex Pistols. If you’re not familiar with them, The Tex Pistols are Phil Rambow (The Winkies), Martin Belmont (The Rumour, Ducks Deluxe) and Pete Thomas (Elvis Costello & The Attractions). For power pop and pub rock fans, this would most certainly qualify as an all-star review.

As Phil told me after the show, Pete Thomas had to return to the US in August. So he, Martin Belmont and Cheyne Pride created The Ramblin’ All Star Review. I thought I’d share some video from that evening. For those who may be reading this from the London area, I believe they’re still playing in and around the town. We saw them at The Green Note in Camden Town.

They were really good, playing a mix of originals and covers, all with a country western tinge to them. You can check out several songs from their set in the video below. Enjoy.
