The Records, John Wicks’ Health Issues & A Star-Studded Benefit
As anyone who reads this blog likely knows, I may be the biggest Records fan on the planet. When Phil Brown, the bands original bass player passed away, we talked about it. John Wicks, the band’s lead singer and co-author of all of those memorable songs wrote a a beautiful tribute song for Phil.
Now, we come to learn that Wicks has cancer, too. On October 8, there will be a concert in Los Angeles to benefit John Wicks and his battle with the disease. The lineup for the show is an incredible list of who’s – who from the glory days of the genre. I will be flying cross country to attend. I hope you will consider doing so as well.

Records fans everywhere will be getting together in Los Angeles CA at the Teragram Ballroom for an unforgettable evening of entertainment from a list of who’s-who in pop music including Al Stewart, The Bangles, Denny Laine, Peter Case, The Muffs, The Kennedys (and a surprise guest!), all in an effort to raise money to help John battle this disease. Hosted by Chris Carter of Breakfast with The Beatles, this event promises to be a night you’ll never forget.
Wild Honey’s Help John Wicks Beat Cancer benefit will take place on Thursday October 8 at the Teragram Ballroom in Los Angeles, CA. General admission tickets are $40, while VIP tickets (which include a seating within the front 3 rows, a meet & greet, sound check access and a poster) are on sale for $100 while they last. Show starts at 8pm.
