Best Power Pop Albums of 2024
Looking back, 2024 was a pretty good year for new power pop music. I know how cliché tht sounds, but looking back and listening to this year’s offerings, there’s some pretty fantastic stuff.
We heard some lesser known but very talented artists, folks like Sergio Ceccanti, Joy Buzzer and Elena Rogers. Then there were new releases from long time favorites such as Nick Lowe, Paul Collins and Redd Kross. Last but not least, we got the much awaited second album from the kings of Seattle power pop (apologies to Super Deluxe), The Heats.
Below, you’ll find a short list of top Eps, too. And finally, if you’re in the mood for “good time rock ‘n’ roll”, I suggest you check out Glenn Erb’s Category Four. Not power pop but some really fine stuff.
