A Nerves Power Pop Tour? A Thrill for Pop Fans
At long last we’re going to see Nerves power pop live….well, two-thirds of The Nerves, anyway. Paul Collins and Peter Case will be traveling around the country this spring. TOGETHER. This is simply not to be missed.
Here’s a recent comment from Paul, per an interview (the complete interview can be found here):
People have been asking me for years, “So, when will you do a Nerves tour?” I guess we started to talk about it seriously a few years back, then with the constant encouragement of Patrick Boisell of Alive Records–the company that has released the Nerves, Plimsouls and Breakaways records–everyone started to see the real possibility of a tour. Then it just took off and in short order we were looking at an extensive national tour which starts in Vancouver on March 1. I am very excited about this tour, both professionally and personally. It’s a great opportunity to bring all these great songs to life in a very unique way. Peter is an exceptionally good musician so I am very excited to be back on stage with him after all these years. – Paul Collins

I’ve seen both these gentlemen separately, and I’d make the four hour trip just to see one. The chance of seeing and hearing both…at the same time…well, let’s just say I’m excited.
