Powerpop Guitar Chords; The Plimsouls – Now
Following the success of their first EP, Peter Case and his band, The Plimsouls, signed with Planet Records and released their self titled debut (1981). “Now” was the single from that record. Despite the song becoming a powerpop classic (covered by The Gin Blossoms, Phil Seymour among probably others), chords for the song where nowhere to be found online. And so, for beginners like me, I decided to post the chords below.
Now – Written by Peter Case
The Plimsouls went on to record two more LPs. In 1983 they recorded their first and only hit, “Million Miles Away” for the movie Valley Girl. This movie also featured another Plimsouls classic and was the impetus for their second album, Everywhere at Once.
The Plimsouls would reform with a new lineup in 1993 and record their final LP entitled “Kool Trash”. This lineup included Blondie’s Clem Burke. While this LP received little attention, it had a few noteworthy tracks including “playing With Jack” – presumably a biographical piece about Jack Lee.
